Summer study abroad program can even allow students to work ahead and graduate early! The personal impact of study abroad is just as great. Students gain a sense of self-confidence, Independence, expand their worldview and make friends from all over the world! Is it Affordable? Yes! The cost of study abroad varies by program, but many are the same cost as a regular ECU semester and can be less for out-of-state students! Students have access to their normal financial aid and scholarships can be applied to your student’s study abroad experience. We encourage students to utilize the ECU Award Portal which houses the majority of scholarships at ECU. Through this portal, students can create a profile and the site will populate scholarship opportunities for which the student is eligible. How to Learn More! Getting started is easy! Each student works closely with an Education Abroad Advisor from the moment of inquiry to their return from being abroad. Beginning with our Weekly Information Sessions, students can begin their research to learn about study abroad and explore available programs.
