Registration is here! Focus on courses in your program of study

Registration has begun. Students who rely on Pell grants, student loans, and other federal financial aid should check Degree Works and the university catalog to make sure they are registered for a minimum of twelve (12) undergraduate hours or nine (9) graduate hours from their program of study.

Course Program of Study (CPOS) compliance reporting for this registration cycle has begun.

If financial aid eligibility requirements are not met, a student will receive an email alert warning that their financial aid may be reduced.

Students whose schedules reflect the appropriate number of required hours to qualify for full-time financial aid do not need to do anything further.

To determine which classes do not count toward financial aid eligibility, students should log in to the financial aid self-service card in Pirate Port.

  1. Log in to Pirate Port
  2. Select the Financial Aid Self Service card
  3. Choose COURSES NOT ELIGIBLE FOR AID from the drop-down (top if page)
  4. See this pdf for step-by-step instructions

Students should review their advisor’s recommendations and adjust the schedule as needed. If they still have questions, students can contact the Office of Student Financial Aid, M-F, 8:00am to 5:00pm at 252-328-6610 or finaid@ecu.edu.
