ECU to Host 2024 Commencement Ceremony and College Recognition Ceremonies

Posted almost 2 years ago  in Fourth Year & Beyond Families.

East Carolina University’s commencement ceremony is a time to recognize and celebrate the achievements of our students. This time-honored tradition congratulates them for a job well done and encourages them to accomplish amazing things in the future.

The university’s Spring 2024 Commencement Ceremony will be held at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium on Friday, May 3 at 10 a.m.

All ECU spring 2024 graduates and eligible summer 2024 graduates, including those earning undergraduate, master’s, doctoral and professional degrees, will be required to complete an RSVP form to participate in the university commencement ceremony. The RSVP form, which has a deadline of April 14, will be emailed to graduates and posted on the ECU Commencement website.

The required RSVP process will assist with logistical planning, guest seating and safety protocols. Students who have completed the RSVP by April 14 will receive additional instructions by email closer to the university ceremony.

ECU will host college specific recognition ceremonies on campus on May 3-4. Each college recognition ceremony, unlike the university commencement ceremony, will require tickets for entry. Details for the college recognition are available on the ECU Commencement website.

Faculty wishing to participate in the university commencement ceremony will be asked to complete a separate RSVP form.

Additional updates and information will be posted throughout the semester on the ECU Commencement website including details about the commencement speaker, parking, and accommodations.

For questions about commencement, visit the ECU Commencement website or email commencement@ecu.edu.
