Hello Pirate Families & Students!
Emails are starting to go out from Student Blue and from SHS about the Student Health Insurance Plan for Fall 2024 to students who still have not enrolled or received an approved waiver.
As a reminder, all eligible students are automatically billed for the Value Plan ($1182.28) with their tuition bill. If they choose to enroll in the Premium Plan ($1475.32), an adjustment will be made to their tuition bill. If they waive out, the waiver credit will be applied to the tuition bill as a payment 24-72 hours after the waiver is approved by Student Blue.
Emails have started going out for anyone with:
• pending/manual waiver (this means the info provided was not able to be verified electronically and now the Student Blue rep will have to manually call the insurance company to verify coverage over the phone)• denied waiver (various reasons that should be listed in the denied email that was sent to the student by Student Blue)• Voided waiver/enrollment• those who have taken NO action yet
So, what needs to be done?
PENDING/MANUAL WAIVER - there is nothing for them to do currently except wait until their waiver is approved or denied.
DENIED WAIVER- they should have received an email from Student Blue stating the reason as to why it was denied. The student just needs to resubmit the waiver with whatever information is needed. We highly recommend that they include a copy of the front and back of their card.
VOID WAIVER and/or ENROLLMENT – then they need to do something!
NOT TAKEN ACTION - then they need to do something! Need help deciding?
