Timeslots to pick a room will be posted by the end of the day today 4/16, on the Housing portal. Students should follow the instructions in the email they received about room selection but once they log into the portal, it walks them through the process.
Timeslots are determined by when students submitted their housing application. If they submitted it earlier during the contract period, then they will have an earlier timeslot than someone who submitted it later in the process. They can select a space any time after their timeslot window opens, they just can't select before. Room selection will be available until 4/29. After that, ECU Housing will close it and automatically assign anyone who did not select a space.
If your student is part of a roommate group, (this indicates their preferred roommate), only the group leader may select a room for themselves and their roommate. A roommate who is not a group leader is reliant on the group leader to make their room selection.
The singles/specialty rooms are posted on the ECU Housing website under "Student Resources" and then “Contracts, Forms, and Appeals” (this is where we have all our Housing Contract information). It is also noted under "Important Documents" on the home page. It is important to note that we do hold back some of these spaces to support DSS accommodations.
The Residence Halls returning students may select from are College Hill Suites, Scott, Jones, and Jarvis. There will also be a few singles in Cotten available.
