Randy, I agree. One way to increase engagement would be to have more group projects, wherein the students need to meet virtually to complete the assignment. I know these can be terribly frustrating sometimes, though, if you end up in a group that just doesn't function well. Other ideas would be virtual study sessions and review sessions. Even meeting once a week altogether or in smaller groups would be helpful.
