VERY disappointed to see C. Fenwick's reply stating that rising sophomores will not get a real orientation. This plan is dreadfully unfair to them - that the class coming in behind them gets that real orientation experience, but they get only an "opportunity to REGAIN (?!) their sea legs?" Sea legs that they never got in the first place?? PLEASE CONSIDER THAT THEY NEED THIS TO HELP GET THEM TO WHERE THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN SOCIALLY/AS A COHORT - I'm sure your mental health professionals would agree that "special programs/events" only for them -- but while everyone is already on campus, too, and they have other demands on their time -- cannot possibly have the same effect as a real orientation experience. PLEASE DON'T CHEAT THEM IN YET ANOTHER WAY.
