NOTE: This is a general schedule. Students enrolled in Living Learning Communities and other programs which require early move-in should follow the instructions and schedule they receive via email from their program.

Campus Living offers two Come-to-Campus Options; DROP-OFF and MOVE-IN.

Optional DROP-OFF

Students may choose to participate in DROP-OFF between August 3rd – 5th where they can bring their belongings, set up their room for Fall and return home until classes start. Students unable to make one of these dates will MOVE-IN between August 16th and 19th in advance of classes starting.

We encourage students and families that are able, to consider the DROP-OFF option, allowing the MOVE-IN period to be more manageable for Out-of-State students and others that are not able to drop off in advance. The Drop-Off option is not available in College Hill Suites because this hall is being used for camps.

Students who wish to take advantage of DROP-OFF will need to use the link included in their assignment email to sign-up for one 2-hour time slot for their assigned Hall. Please keep this 2-hour limit in mind as you consider which day/time slot will best fit your schedule.

Arrival for Classes for those Who Used the Drop-Off Option

Students that utilized the earlier Drop-Off option will return to campus Friday, August 18 (after 2 pm), or any time on Saturday, and Sunday – August 19 and 20. You do NOT need to check in at Minges Coliseum upon your return if you already have your key and fob from Drop-Off! Returning during this window is not to be another move-in period- so think arriving with a few items. The Drop Off period is for you to utilize to set up your room before classes.

Students will be able to unload in the loading areas in the vicinity of their residence hall or park in their assigned parking area and then use ECU Transit or walk to their residence hall. Students will receive additional instructions in their ECU email a few days before this Arrival for Classes period begins. Students are encouraged to consider arriving at non-peak times: early mornings, or early evening- avoiding afternoons as much possible.

MOVE-IN

Optional Early Move-In @ Neighborhood Services Offices – Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

• Optional Early Move-In is open to all students in all residence halls except for College Hill Suites. AND Early Move-In for specific LLC Programs (without additional fee – eligible students will be notified).
• There is no pre-registration for this option.
• Noon- 10 pm
• Early Move-In Fee: $120 will be billed to student account (except for LLC residents).
• Neighborhood Services Offices Locations: Central/West- West End Dining Hall & College Hill- Ballard East
• There may be Limited Parking/Directional Support during these periods.

Primary Move-In Days – Wednesday, August 16 – Friday, August 18.

• Scheduled Hours by residence hall and in some cases by specific floors.
• Main Check-In @ Minges Coliseum “Hall of Fame”– based on hall/floor schedule (note times) sent in your student's assignment information or can be viewed in the link below. These windows are in position to maximize parking, elevator use (if applicable) and volunteer placement.
• Please label all your boxes/items clearly, use boxes or containers whenever possible, and be aware that passenger use of elevators during these times may be limited.
• At Minges Coliseum- Students get their key and fob, they are given a move-in pass for each car they have, THEN the cars will move to their residence hall move-in queue, located EAST of check-in parking. Queued cars will be sent to your move-in area near your residence hall when parking spaces are open. Please do not go directly to your hall without lining up your cars for a brief wait. As soon as you unload your car(s) you will move it to the remote parking areas. There are directions on the back of your move-in pass.

Optional After Hours Move-In @ Neighborhood Services Offices (Central/West – West End Dining Hall & College Hill – Ballard East)

• Wednesday and Thursday
• 7 pm to 10 pm
• $60 After Hours Check-In Fee will be billed to student account
• no pre-registering needed.

Optional Late Move-In @ Neighborhood Services Offices. - Friday, August 18 Evening; Saturday, August 19; and Sunday August 20:

• Move-In window for returning White Hall students and students who could not move in during scheduled times.
• Neighborhood Services Offices Locations: Central/West – West End Dining Hall & College Hill – Ballard East
  • Friday 7 pm – 10 pm
  • Saturday 9 am – 10 pm
  • Sunday 9 am – 10 pm (recommended for returning students only)
• No additional check in fees.
• There may be Limited Parking/Directional Support during these periods.
